First Half:

  • The Golden Eagles started to connect on their passing after the goal creating more chances. Tyler Corstange was able to get inside the box for a shot in the 14th minute that was saved by Adrian keeper Jackson Vacca.
  • Corners continued to be threatening for CU, as Ajani Vaughn nearly found a second for the Golden Eagles in the 20thminute on a shot that required a diving save from the Bulldogs keeper.
  • In the 38th minute Pablo Rodriguez took a threatening free kick. He went for goal and nearly placed it perfectly in the upper corner, but it missed just high as the score remained 1-0.
  • Cornerstone held a 1-0 lead at the half with five shots and three on net.
Second Half:
  • The second half began with Adrian on the front foot. Chris Czyz was able to maneuver all the way down the sideline and tap a ball past CU keeper Roberto Gutierrez to tie the game in the 52nd minute.
  • In the 54th minute, Cornerstone saw their first true second half chance on a shot from Tyler Corstange inside the 18-yard box that missed just high.

  • Tyler Corstange saw another great chance in the 71st minute but a mishit led to a shot high as the score stayed tied 1-1.
  • Tyler Corstange redeemed himself starting a beautiful play in the 75th minute. Taking the ball all the way to the endline he made a great centering cross. Ajani Vaughn left it for Pablo Rodriguez who rocketed it into the back of the net to regain the lead.
