Southfield, Mich. – Men's Soccer traveled over to Southfield, Mich. to take on the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech University inside of the Blue Devils Stadium. The first half was a battle between the two sides, with five fouls committed by the Golden Eagles and one foul from the Blue Devils. The scoring would begin for Lawrence Tech in the 26th minute of play to put them up 1-0 in the first half. The Golden Eagles were unable to respond in the remainder of the game, as the Blue Devils put two more goals into the back of the net in the second half to win the match 3-0. The Golden Eagles will host Defiance College for Senior Night this Saturday, October 18 at 7 p.m. inside of the Cornerstone University Soccer Stadium.

The Blue Devils were on the offense right away, with three cornerkicks within the first 11 minutes of play in the first half.

Cornerstone faced lots of pressure as they blocked a shot in the 12th minute to keep the score 0-0, and watched the ball sail over the crossbar in the 17th minute of play.

The pressure kept building on the Golden Eagles' defense, which would be broken down in the 26th minute, as the Blue Devils took the lead 1-0 off of a goal from Pedro Roses.

The first half would see more defensive play by the Golden Eagles, as the shots kept coming from Lawrence Tech. Cornerstone would hear the halftime whistle down by just one goal.
Second Half:

The second half got underway right away, as the Blue Devils slotted another goal home to build their lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute of play.

The first shot for the Golden Eagles came off of the foot of Jake Madak in the 55th minute, forcing a save from Lawrence Tech's goalkeeper.

Isaac Kwantes would see his name enter the official's book, as his foul got him a yellow card and gave the Blue Devils a chance to make it 3-0 on a penalty kick chance.

The penalty shot was taken advantage of by Lawrence Tech, who made it 3-0 midway through the second half.

Victor Russo took his shot in the 84th minute of play, but it went wide of the goal, as the clock inched its way to the end. Lawrence Tech took the win 3-0.
