Aubrey Johnson and
Gabby VerBerkmoes led the way with 13 kills each. Women's Volleyball travels to Fort Wayne, Indiana to face Indiana Tech on Saturday, October 18th at 2 p.m.
Game Recap – #RV Cornerstone – 3 UNOH – 1 (25-14, 25-11, 20-25, 25-11)
First Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 14
- The Golden Eagles and the Racers traded points to start the first set tied 5-5.
- Cornerstone then went on a run which was led by two service aces by Olivia Endris.
- Gwyn VerBerkmoes continued the attack for CU with three kills to grow their lead to 16-7.
- Cornerstone secured the first set win with Alli Pickard getting the final two points.
Second Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 11
- Gabby VerBerkmoes started the second set fire with three kills to make it 5-2 early.
- Multiple kills from Aubrey Johnson grew the Golden Eagles lead to 16-9.
Third Set: Cornerstone – 20 UNOH – 25
- CU and UNOH went back and forth to begin the third set, getting it tied 9-9.
- The Racers went on a run and took a 21-14 lead.
- Aubrey Johnson helped bring the Golden Eagles back with three more kills making it 23-18 UNOH.
- The Golden Eagles comeback fell short as they drop the third set 25-20.
Fourth Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 11
