Aquinas powers past Baseball in a double header sweep

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Baseball welcomed crosstown rival Aquinas for a conference doubleheader and came away two tough losses. Cornerstone opened the first game hot, hitting back-to-back-to-back homeruns to take a quick 4-0 lead but Aquinas slowly chipped away all game defeating the Golden Eagles 6-5. In game two, Conner Comiskey pitched five great innings to keep Cornerstone in this game before a nine-run eighth inning proving to be the difference maker in a 11-2 loss. Baseball falls to 2-22 (2-6) on the year as they will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon at Concordia starting at 1 p.m.
