Grand Rapids, Mich. – Women's Volleyball went head-to-head with the Racers of UNOH inside Mol Arena as they continue WHAC conference play. The Golden Eagles could not be stopped as they dominated in three consecutive sets to gather an impressive sweep. The ladies will look to keep their momentum as they prepare for a battle with Lourdes on Friday, September 26 starting at 7:00 p.m.
Game Recap – #RV Cornerstone – 3 UNOH – 0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-6)
First Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 11
- The match started fairly even with the score holding at 4-4 with both teams looking to settle in.
- Ally Kragt found some strong swings at the net to secure a five-point advantage for Cornerstone.
- The ladies were relentless as they continued to collect points with ease as they led 15-6.
- Josilyn Potter got in on the action with a flurry of kills down the stretch to keep Cornerstone pushing forward.
- The first set was closed out in dominant fashion by Gabby VerBerkmoes with two attacks off a scrambling Racer return that turned into smashing kills.
Second Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 14
- Aubrey Johnson opened the second set with a string of kills as UNOH had no answer for the Golden Eagles.
- Cornerstone played their game and eventually found themselves up 17-12 headed to the final stretch of the set.
- The Golden Eagles closed out yet another commanding set thanks to six straight points behind strong serving from Olivia Endris.
Third Set: Cornerstone – 25 UNOH – 6
- Cornerstone continued their superior play with a quick run of points to lead 5-1 opening the third set.
- Josilyn Potter went on a phenomenal serving run as Cornerstone led 19-3.
- Gwyn VerBerkmoes closed out the sweep with a pair of kills in this wildly lopsided affair.

59 – The Golden Eagles secured 59 total points compared to the Racers 19.
45 – Cornerstone dominance showed through the attack with 45 kills.
