Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Golden Eagles took a trip down to Fort Wayne Indiana for a battle against the #9 ranked team in the nation. Indiana Tech has been red hot as they sit at 8-1 in WHAC conference play headed into this matchup against the Golden Eagles. The Warriors had to fight past Cornerstone in this matchup, but they eventually secured an 89-74 win over the Golden Eagles. Cornerstone will be looking to find some momentum in their next matchup against Aquinas on Wednesday, January 14
th for a 7:30 p.m. tip.

First Half
- The scoring started slowly in this contest as both teams were held scoreless until the 16-minute mark as a smooth drive to the basket from Andy Mora opened the first lead of the game for Cornerstone.
- Indiana Tech responded on the next possession with a deep three to see their first bucket go down.
- Mark DeVries worked in the paint to secure Cornerstone another two points as they led 4-3 after five minutes played.
- The Warriors found their groove at the midway of the first half going on a 14-point run to take a dominant 17-4 lead leaving the Golden Eagles stunned.
- Trenton Boike and Tre Seydel were called upon and answered for the Golden Eagles as they knocked down back-to-back three pointers to pull Cornerstone within eight points with nine minutes left in the half.
- The Warriors continued to dominate once again going on a strong run this time with nine unanswered points and a 29-11 lead over Cornerstone.
- Levi Schultz found his first two buckets of the contest come with five minutes remaining in the half as he worked well within in the paint in hopes to keep the Golden Eagles within striking distance.
- Cornerstone saw Levi Schultz and Colin Heyboer knock down two big shots to close out the half, but they still trailed by 16 points with work to do in the second half.
Second Half
- Indiana Tech opened the second half strong with seven straight points taking a 48-25 lead.
- Blake Stewart and Andy Mora looked to spark the offense for the Golden Eagles as they both added multiple buckets for Cornerstone, yet they still trailed by 18 points.
- Colin Heyboer continued his strong day shooting from behind the arc as he buried two more three pointers with 13 minutes left to play.
- The Golden Eagles continued to ride with the hot hand through Colin Heyboer and Tre Seydel as they cut the lead to 62-48 with 11 minutes remaining.
- Blake Stewart began to take over the offense with three straight buckets of his own to help Cornerstone hang around.
- Tre Seydel knocked down his fourth three-point bucket of the contest as they trailed 75-62 with five minutes left to play in the game.
- The show continued for Tre Seydel as he cashed another deep three for the Golden Eagles as they inched closer to the Warriors.
- The gritty play from Cornerstone saw them reach within ten points with two minutes left to play thanks to two good free throws from Andy Mora.
- The momentum slowly faded away as the Golden Eagles fell 89-74.
