Track and Field Breaks Five School Records and Set over 60 Personal Records Over the Weekend

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's and Women's Track and Field had a very successful weekend seeing over 60 personal records and five school records broken. The tone for the weekend was set on Friday as the 4x800m relay teams competed at the Indiana Tech Orange and Black invite. Both the men's and women's teams achieved A Standards, but the women's team also set a new school record. Jacie Remtema highlighted the weekend as she was a part of two new school records, breaking the mile record and was a part of the 4x800m relay team. Isaac Bowden improved his pole vault B Standard to an A Standard and is now in a three-way tie for second in the nation and was one of five Golden Eagles to PR in pole vault. The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, February 13th where they will compete in the Aquinas MIAA WHAC Challenge and the GVSU Big Meet on the 13th and 14th.
