Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – After traveling to UNOH on Saturday, the women's soccer team hit the road again and came away with a 4-1 win over the Warriors of Indiana Tech. Cornerstone went down 1-0 after 10 minutes but got four unanswered goals to pick up their first league win and improve to 6-1-2 overall. CU will now host Concordia on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

After falling behind 1-0 on a goal from Tori Singstock, Cornerstone pressed the Warriors for a lot of the first half but they didn't get the equalizer until the 38' minute of play. Josie Litty beat her defender down the right side of the field and played the ball across the face of the goal to Ashton Gossett who one touched the ball into the goal to tie the game at 1-1.
Lexie Brisson Fast put the Golden Eagles up 2-1 just a few minutes later as Kerri Hoffman played a diagonal through ball into Brisson-Fast and she won a tackle with the GK and then put the ball in the open goal. The Golden Eagles scored their third just five minutes into the 2nd half when Brisson-Fast played a ball across the goal to Morgan Haddad who tapped the ball in for a 3-1 lead.
Brisson-Fast capped off her night by racing down the left side and beating her defender to get in a 1 v 1 with the GK and she deposited the ball into the lower right side of the goal in the 52'. The score would remain the same for the last 38 minutes and Cornerstone finished with a 4-1 win to improve to 6-1-2 overall and 1-1-0 in the WHAC.
Cornerstone will come home for their first WHAC match against Concordia on Saturday with a 4:30 kickoff time. The Golden Eagles will celebrate senior day and honor Rebekah Eggleston, Laura Roerig, and Kate Wiegman.
