GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles will host Lourdes for the final home match of the regular season on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before traveling to no. 4 Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at noon. CU is currently sitting in ninth place in the WHAC as they look to make one last push to get into position to make the conference tournament that begins on November 2.

Scouting Lourdes
The Gray Wolves are in just their second season of having a women's soccer program, as they hold a 3-9-1, 1-6-0 record for the year. As a team, Lourdes has struggled defensively allowing just over two goals per game to their opponents. Offensively they have scored 23 goals this season with the team leader being Clare Ciarlino with six. Ciarlino also has three assists which is tied for the team lead giving her a team high 15 points on the year.

Lourdes is just in their second year of having a soccer program which means the Golden Eagles have only had one opportunity to play them all-time. In that first appearance last year, CU won 3-0 to hold a 1-0-0 all-time record vs. the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio
Northwestern Ohio has had a fantastic season so far ranked no. 4 in the country with an 11-2-1, 5-1-0 record. UNOH is second in the conference behind no. 24 Davenport as the only Racer loss came to the Panthers just last week 2-1. The Racers are 10th best in the nation with 49 goals on the year, with forward Camila Andersen having 20 of those. Andersen is third in the nation individually with 45 points on the year through 14 games. UNOH is also one of the best defensively with nine shutouts on the year as Nadine Stonejek has done the majority of the work in net with 25 saves and a 9-2-0 record.

Cornerstone has had a short history against UNOH playing them just four times and holding a 1-3-0 all-time record vs. the Racers. Last season the Golden Eagles faced the Racers twice losing 1-0 in the regular season and 5-0 in the WHAC tournament.
First Timers for Riksen and Tassoni
Cornerstone scored a season high six goals in the victory over Marygrove this past Wednesday. In the win,
Alexys Riksen found the net twice for her first two goals of the season.
Maddie Tassoni also scored her first career goal as a member of the Golden Eagles.
WHAC Tournament Outlook
The conference tournament begins on November 2nd and the top eight WHAC teams will get be seeded one through eight for an opportunity to play for a national tournament bid. Cornerstone is currently sitting in ninth place in the WHAC behind Indiana Tech.
