LIMA, Ohio – The Golden Eagles concluded a three-game road trip with another tough loss, falling in straight sets to the Racers of Northwestern Ohio. Cornerstone concludes the regular season 0-2 against UNOH and drops to 10-14, 7-6 WHAC as the team has now lost six straight matches. CU looks to get back on the winning track inside Mol Arena on Wednesday as they will host Madonna at 7 p.m.
Game Recap – UNOH – 3 CU – 0 (25-22, 25-17, 26-24)
- Cornerstone opened the match at UNOH in a new formation, running a 6-2. UNOH took advantage getting out to a 7-3 lead early in set one. Cornerstone got in the groove of the new rotation though, tying the match at nine on a kill by Jackie Stanko.
- The Racers went on a 4-0 run later in set one to take a 19-15 lead and force CU into a timeout.
- CU cut the deficit back to just one on another kill by Jackie Stanko, but the racers scored the final two points to win set one 25-22.
- Set two was tied at 7-7, but the Racers found a 7-1 run to take a 14-8 lead and force CU into a timeout.
- UNOH scored four more out of the Cornerstone timeout to lead 18-8 in set two.
- Jackie Stanko continued her strong start and Bailey Cummings recorded a couple of big kills, but it was not enough as CU fell 25-17 in set two.
- Rylie Walters recorded back-to-back service aces to cut the deficit to just one early in set three.
- The Racers continued to dominate in set three holding the lead from start to finish to win 26-24 and take the match in straight sets.

- Jackie Stanko led the Golden Eagles with 12 kills.
- Kaley Vaughn and Hannah Stearns saw significant time in the match as the Golden Eagles went to a 6-2 in the first two sets.
- CU hit just .116 as a team.
