GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Both teams had to wait a total of 45 hours and 12 minutes to complete a game that was suspended mid second set due to a power outage and tornado warning, but the match did not disappoint as the Golden Eagles took a 3-2 win over cross-town rival Aquinas. The two teams then continued to battle, but Cornerstone would prevail at home 16-14 in set five. The win puts CU at 4-5 overall and 1-0 in WHAC play as they will have the rest of the weekend off from game action.
