BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Nygia Pollard highlight a trio of NAIA National Qualifiers, setting a school record in the steeplechase with a mark of 10:56.39. Owen Woltjer and Carter Sabin also hit a pair of NAIA "B" Standards to highlight the Olivet Nazarene Tiger Invite this Saturday for Cornerstone track & field. Next week the Golden Eagles will be back in action with a group headed back to Hillsdale for the Gina Relays and another group headed to Concordia for the Cardinal Invite on Saturday, April 24. 
 
Men's Results 
Senior Owen Woltjer began the highlights for the men in the steeplechase with a mark of 9:27.96, just six seconds off his PR to earn an NAIA "B" Standard in the event. 
 
Freshman Carter Sabin later earned his first qualifier of his career with a provisional mark in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.61, setting a PR. 
 
Freshman Bryce Black ended the results for the men with a PR in the discus with a mark of 40.17m. 
 
Women's Results 
Nygia Pollard opened the women's highlights with a school record in the steeplechase with a time of 10:56.39. The mark is good for an NAIA auto qualification and is currently the number one mark in the nation. 
 
Annika Shoemaker later recorded a PR in the 3000m with a time of 10:37.76 to move to seventh all-time on CU's outdoor list. 
 
The night ended for the women with Anna VanTubergen PR in the shot put with an 11.90m throw to move to seventh all-time on Cornerstone's outdoor list. 
 
What's Next? 
Cornerstone will see athletes at two different events next weekend. Some athletes will head back to Hillsdale for the Gina Relays Thursday-Saturday, while the rest will head to the Concordia Invite on Saturday, April 24.
