Kelli Smith's prolific career continues with yet another WHAC Runner of the Week award, her second of the season and fourth in outdoor for her career, after a school record performance in the 5000m this past weekend at the Hillsdale Gina Relay's. Smith broke her own school record in the event with a mark of 16:35.70, while also pacing teammate
Nygia Pollard to her first sub 17 minute 5000m performance. Cornerstone was incredibly successful this past weekend as four athletes recorded marks that beat previous school records in three different events. Smith is an automatic qualifier in both the 5000m and 1500m so far this season.
Cornerstone will continue the year with the WHAC Championships this Thursday and Friday down in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
