WHAC Tournament on the line for Women's Soccer with the final week of the regular season on tap

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Soccer heads into the final week of the regular season sitting in the final spot for the WHAC Tournament winning the tie breaker over Indiana Tech. Yet, the last week won't be easy for the Golden Eagles as they hit the road to face Rochester on Wednesday, October 25 and Concordia on Saturday, October 28. It will be an important week ahead for women's soccer.

Last Week Recap
Women's Soccer had a tough week last week as they went 0-2 as they have now lost the last four games scoring just one goal. Ella Bosscher scored her first goal of the season this past Saturday to snap a three-game streak of not scoring a goal. Look for the Golden Eagles to be aggressive this week with the final WHAC spot on the line.
 
WHAC Outlook
It's a close one at the top and bottom of the conference in the final week of the regular season. Aquinas and Siena Heights are tied for first with 23 points as Cornerstone and Indiana Tech are tied for the last spot with eight points. Cornerstone holds the tiebreaker over the Warriors for the final spot thanks to a 3-0 win earlier in the season. A lot can change this final week of the regular season.
 
Looking Forward to Rochester
Rochester comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles sitting in sixth place with an overall record of 11-5 (5-4) on the season. They are coming off a 2-1 victory over Concordia this past weekend snapping a three-game losing streak. The Warriors are led by Sophomore Sammi Springer who has scored eight goals on the season.
 
Looking Forward to Concordia
Concordia comes into the week against Cornerstone with a 1-13-2 (1-6-2) record sitting in 10th place in the conference before facing UNOH earlier in the week. They are coming off a 2-1 loss, losing now four of their last five matches scoring just one goal over that span. Concordia has only scored five goals on the season with two players having two goals being Freshman Micayla McGee and Alyssa Pringle.
