MARION, Ind. – The Golden Eagles not only had to make the quick transition to the outdoor season but had to battle some nasty Midwest weather with heavy winds and near freezing temperatures in Marion, Indiana on Saturday. The dup of Tatum Townsend and Ashley Verplank again highlighted action on the weather filled day, each earning NAIA "A" Standards in the pole vault. CU was able to get a small taste of the outdoor season as they ease their way into competition as they will next prepare for the MSU Spartan Invite in East Lansing next weekend.

Ryan Shinabery finished fifth in his collegiate debut in the event for another lifetime PR of 45.02m. This mark moves Shinabery to ninth all-time on CU's outdoor list.
