Women’s Soccer set for first road trip at Saint Francis of Indiana

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.  – The Golden Eagles are set to hit the road for the first time in the 2023 campaign as they will travel to Saint Francis of Indiana out of the Crossroads League on Friday evening. CU will play their second Crossroads League opponent in a stretch of four straight to start the year. Cornerstone seeks their first win of the year before heading home for a five-game home stand throughout September. For more information on Friday's action, visit the links below.

Last Week Recap 
The Golden Eagles hosted Goshen for their first game of the year and fell 2-1 to the Maple Leafs. CU fell behind 1-0 before Gracie Gortmaker recorded an equalizer. In the 67th minute, Goshen found a second goal to take the game 2-1. CU dropped their season opener for the first time since 2018 at Mount Vernon Nazarene. 
 
Scouting Saint Francis
The Cougars have played three contests already in 2023 and gone 0-2-1. USF has yet to record a goal and has fallen to two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opponents already. Saint Francis is a very young team with 12 freshmen on the roster.
