GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It was a weekend full of national qualifiers and records being broken for track and field at GVSU and AQ. There were 10 total national qualifiers along with three records broken a week before the conference championship.
Chase Holwerda highlighted the weekend breaking a freshman record, school record, and a national qualifying run in the 800m with a time of 1:53.13.
Cecily Fager earned her first national qualifying mark in pole vault with a 3.47m performance and
Tatum Townsend moves to #4 in the country with a pole vault performance of 3.73m. The Golden Eagles will look for another successful weekend like this as they compete in the WHAC Indoor Championships February 16-17 at Aquinas.
