Last Season Recap & Season Outlook
The 2023 season for women's soccer was a season of highs and lows. It started off on a high note where they won four of the first five matches, setting up a very successful season. Yet, once conference play rolled in, the Golden Eagles struggled, losing their final six matches, falling in the WHAC standings and eventually missing the WHAC Tournament, finishing the year with an overall record of 6-8-2.

2024 brings in a new coaching staff as Sam Tracey was hired this past summer replacing Randy Strawser who retired after the school year. Sam and her young core of players will look towards a bounce back year as they returned lead goal scorers Gracie Gortmaker and Tori Woodwyk. They also returned lead defenders Ella Bosscher, Kaitlynn Sal, Hailey Stowe, and Jada VanTol. Women's soccer was tabbed to finish 10th in the WHAC Coaches Preseason Poll, a mark that the Golden Eagles will be looking at as extra motivation throughout the 2024 season.

Scouting Goshen
Goshen comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an 0-2 record after losing to two tough teams in Arizona to start their season. In 2023, Goshen finished with an overall record of 6-9-3 failing to make into their conference tournament. Goshen struggled to score last year, averaging 0.89 goals a game on 10.7 shots while letting up 1.78 goals on 15.3 shots per-game. The Maple Leafs do return their lead goal scorers from the past year in Seja Lang and Sophia Yoder who both had four.
