GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the Player of the Week winners for the week of February 17 and two Golden Eagles earned the honor for their play.
Ernest Broaster has won his second straight, and third Attacker of the Week Honors for men's volleyball.
Mackenzie Goodwin won her second Defender of the Week for women's basketball.
Ernest Broaster earned his second straight Attacker of the Week honor thanks to his great week on the court. Broaster collected 43 kills, good for 4.3 kills per-set while hitting over .300. He also collected 17 digs, 14 aces, and 10 blocks as he was all over for the Golden Eagles in a perfect 3-0 week. Broaster leads the Golden Eagles with 152 kills and 30 aces on the year.
Men's Volleyball returns to action with two conference games. They open the week at Bethel before returning home to host Siena Heights as look to continue their hot start.
Mackenzie Goodwin earned her second Defender of the Week honor thanks to her defensive prowess on the court. Goodwin collected 11 steals between two games as well as two blocks. She also averaged 9.5 points as she helped women's basketball host the first round of the WHAC Tournament. Goodwin leads the team in blocks with 33 and second on the team with 27 steals on the year.
Women's Basketball hosts Concordia in the first round of the WHAC Tournament on Wednesday, February 26.
