GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the baseball awards for the 2025 spring season and three Golden Eagles earned an award.
Matthew Kindley highlighted the honors for the Golden Eagles with a First Team All-Conference selection for outfielders.
Drew Goodman earned Second Team All-Conference for designated hitters and
Corbin Westerkamp earned Second Team All-Conference for outfielders as well as the representative of the WHAC Champion of Character for baseball.
Matthew Kindley – First Team All-Conference
Senior
Matthew Kindley earned his first, First Team All-Conference honors after leading baseball with a .347 average, an OPS of 1.127, hits with 50, triples with three, homeruns with nine, RBI's at 39, total bases at 93, a walk to strikeout ratio of 36 to 25, a slugging percentage of .646, and on-base percentage of .481 playing and starting in every game in right field.
Drew Goodman – Second Team All-Conference
Senior
Drew Goodman earned his first Second Team All-Conference honor. After being hurt earlier in the season, Goodman turned it on once back in conference play where he hit .342 with an OPS of .967. Driving in 27 runs on 38 hits, three of those as homeruns, with an on-base percentage of .408. He was a clutch hitter down the stretch for the Golden Eagles.
Corbin Westerkamp – Second Team All-Conference & Champion of Character
Sophomore
Corbin Westerkamp earned his first Second Team All-Conference honor after hitting .275 on the year with an OPS of .837 while also playing stellar defense in centerfield all season. Westerkamp was second on the team in homeruns with six, also driving in 25 runs at the dish. He was speedy on the basepaths as he went 13-14 on stolen bases, second best on the team.
Westerkamp was also selected as Cornerstone's representative to the WHAC Champions of Character team by the CU staff for best representing the five NAIA core character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
WHAC All-Academic
Baseball saw 14 athletes earn WHAC All-Academic honors for the 2025 season. This award is given to any athlete who has been on the roster for a year or more as well as a sophomore and above in academic class standing with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The winners are
