GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Golden Eagles will wrap up their regular season this week with a home doubleheader on Monday against Calvin before heading to Lourdes on Wednesday for the finale against the Gray Wolves. Cornerstone (11-27) has played seven of the last eight games on their home field, going 3-4 over that stretch. The Golden Eagles will take a 4-14 WHAC record into the rescheduled game against LU on Wednesday.
Scouting Calvin – The Knights have a 16-18 overall record. The team is batting a combined .271, led by Sophomore Maddie DeGroot, who is batting .405 with a .620 slugging percentage thanks to 15 extra base hits. Anna Gernant is dominant in the circle, as she boasts a 2.15 ERA with an average of 11.69 strikeouts per seven innings. The Knights defeated the Golden Eagles 9-2 and 5-1 in last year's contests.
Scouting Lourdes – The Gray Wolves are 11-23 overall, 3-11 in the WHAC. Marissa Kostick leads the team with 18 RBI and a .326 batting average. Kostick and Brooke Gallaher are the two main arms for Lourdes, with 4.37 and 4.74 ERA's respectively. Both pitchers have pitched six complete games.
First innings – While the Golden Eagles have been outscored 216-107 over the 38 games, Cornerstone's offense has rallied for 29 runs in the opening frame.

Caitlyn Hartline has recorded a hit in each of the last four games, and currently leads the team in hits with 31.
