Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Eagles continued their season at Rochester on Saturday. A 6-0 shutout in game one and a 7-1 victory in game one brought Cornerstone's record to 11-11 overall, 6-4 in the WHAC. The team will gear up for a busy week as five doubleheaders are scheduled to take place at the CU Softball Field.
Game 1 –
Cierra Langejans got things started with a two-RBI double in the top of the first inning.
Sierra Sanchez tacked on another run with an RBI single in the third. Two more runs in the fifth inning extended the lead to 5-0.
Rachel Younts finished things off with an RBI single in the seventh inning to seal a 6-0 shutout victory.
Langejans went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Brooke Leonard pitched five innings and struck out six batters.
Game 2 –
Rachel Younts gave CU a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a base hit to right field.
Alicia Ontiveros drove in
Maddie Vassar to boost the lead to 3-0. Rochester scored their first and only run of the day in the bottom of the fifth inning off a deep fly ball to center field.
McKena Razenberg ended the bottom of the sixth inning with an amazing catch and throw to double up the runner trying to advance to third. Cornerstone broke the game open in the top of the 7th inning. Ontiveros cleared the bases with a three-RBI double and was singled in by
Savanna Sanchez to make the lead 7-1.

Cornerstone's overall record improves to 11-11 overall, 6-4 in the WHAC. The Golden Eagles will host Siena Heights on Monday at 3:30 p.m. to kick off their five-game homestand.
