NEWS AND NOTES ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Underclassmen Contribution
: The freshmen and sophomore classes have combined for 74 hits while the upperclassmen have only 20 hits. The underclassmen are batting an even .300 on the season.

McKena Razenberg puttin' up numbers: The sophomore centerfielder has seven hits in the last seven games, bringing her batting average to .321 and a team-high on-base percentage of .424.

Strong performances in the circle: Starting pitchers Rachel Younts and Brooke Leonard have ERAs of 2.15 and 3.31 respectively. A one-hit shutout of Bethel and a complete game victory over #RV Bellevue highlighted Younts' stat lines during the spring break trip. Younts has held the opposition to a .248 batting average.

Maddie Vassar leading the way: Over the first four games of the season, Vassar batted a cool .090, but the freshman from Naperville, Illinois has heated up to bat .343 since that cool stretch, with four multi-hit games over the next ten games. The starting shortstop also made several highlight-reel plays while fielding at an impressive .940 clip.

Freshman Sluggers: Freshman Sierra Sanchez and Courtney Ducharme have slugging percentages of .606 and .500, respectively. Sierra's three hits in game two against Indiana Tech was her second 3-hit game of the season. Courtney Ducharme's two doubles in game one against Indiana Tech was her second multi- Extra-base hit game of the year, after she hit two homers against Bellevue earlier in the season.

Triples: The Golden Eagles had not recorded a triple all season until Alicia Ontiveros and Sierra Sanchez each tripled vs. Indiana Tech.

First to the Plate: The Golden Eagles are 3-1 when they score the game's first run, while they are only 3-7 when the opponent scores first.
