Baseball travels across town for four game set with Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles are set to get back to action just six days since returning from a 13-game trip to Florida as they will take on cross town foe Davenport for a four-game set this weekend. The two teams are set to play a double-header on Friday starting at 1 p.m. followed by another double-header on Saturday which also will start at 1 p.m. Stay tuned to cugoldeneagles.com and @CornerstoneBAS twitter for updates on weather conditions that could affect the series.

Cornerstone Baseball Quick Facts:
- Cornerstone played 13 games in Florida and finished with a 6-7 record to move their season record to 6-11. 
 
- Davenport, who used to be a member of the WHAC, holds a 17-2 all-time record against the Golden Eagles. 
 
- With two starts in Florida, Collin Young became the all-time program leader in starts for the Golden Eagles.
 
- Freshman Chase Mitchell leads the team with 14 runs scored and five stolen bases despite not recording a single at bat this season. 
 
- CU had two shutout wins in Florida, putting them just three shy of last year's mark already. 
 
- Cornerstone will play their first home games of the season in a DH vs. Madonna on March 22nd.
 
- Senior Aaron Krupansky continued to lead the Golden Eagles, including 16 hits and a 12-game hitting streak. On the year, Krupansky leads the team with a .362 batting average and 14 RBI. 
 
- Freshman Austin Hurt had a standout Florida trip, recording three triples and a HR. Hurt is the only CU player with a HR this season.
