GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Head Coach
Randy Strawser continues to add to the class of 2020, with four Michigan natives signing to join the program in the fall. Rebekah Alvaro, Kylie DeWard, Mackenzie Kramer, and Samantha Sebright all signed with the Golden Eagles earlier this week and will join the program in the fall of 2020. Strawser and the Golden Eagles look to build off a strong 14-5 record in 2019 adding depth with the incoming freshmen class.
Rebekah Alvaro – Lansing, Mich.
Rebekah comes to Cornerstone from Lansing, Michigan where she was homeschooled and played soccer in a homeschool league in the Lansing area. The midfielder was named to the All-Region and All-National team in her league and also served as a team captain while also winning a Christian Character Award for her character both on and off the field. Her homeschool team finished third in the nation twice at division one and was the homeschool state runners-up one season.
Rebekah is the daughter of Gerald and Kari Alvaro and she will major in Social Work while at Cornerstone
Why CU?
"I chose Cornerstone because I was looking for a smaller school that would have a strong social work program taught from a biblical perspective. Also, being given the opportunity to play soccer, a game I love at CU fulfills a life-long dream." – Rebekah Alvaro
Kylie DeWard – Caledonia, Mich.
Kylie comes to Cornerstone as another homeschooler from the Caledonia region. The defensive midfielder was named team MVP in 2018 and 2019 and she served as a two-time team captain. In both the 2017 and 2018 seasons Kylie was named a regional and national all-star for her performance. She also was awarded the Ironman Award, Brick Wall Award, and Most Dependable Player Award from her team during her career.
Kylie is the daughter of Darrell and Kristina DeWard and has yet to decide what she will major in at Cornerstone.
Why CU?
"The people and the environment brought me to Cornerstone. I dual-enrolled at CU for my junior and senior years of high school and loved everything about it. After those classes, I knew CU was going to be a perfect fit for me." – Kylie DeWard
Mackenzie Kramer – Caledonia, Mich.
Mackenzie is also from Caledonia and went to Caledonia High School where she played soccer. Mackenzie is a forward and will ad d to the young depth at the forward position that Cornerstone currently has. At a prominent school in the West Michigan area, Mackenzie was a three-year varsity player for the Fighting Scotts.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Paul and Jennifer Kramer and has yet to decide what she is going to major in at Cornerstone.

Samantha Sebright – Hopkins, Mich.
Samantha comes to Cornerstone as a goalkeeper from Hopkins High School and will add to the Golden Eagles depth in net. She was the goalie for the Vikings all four years of high school and earned All-Conference and All-District Honors during her career. She was also a team captain and named the MVP and most coachable player by her team.
Samantha is the daughter of Brad and Susie Sebright and will major in Elementary Education while at Cornerstone.
