GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Jim Farrell has announced the addition of Hudsonville duo Ashlie Fields and Sydney Carr to the Cornerstone Softball program. The duo helped the Hudsonville High School Eagles to an OK Red Conference championship in the spring of 2019.
Sydney Carr – SS/2B – Hudsonville, Mich.
"I chose CU because my youth group leader went to Cornerstone and absolutely loved it! She introduced me to the campus, and I fell in love with it!" – Sydney Carr
Sydney is the daughter of Andrew and Korin Karr and is planning to study early childhood education at Cornerstone. Sydney served as a captain on the JV Hudsonville team as a sophomore.
Ashlie Fields – 3B/1B – Hudsonville, Mich.
"I chose Cornerstone because I knew I wanted to attend a smaller college, and when I visited, it was so amazing; I loved every part of campus. I also wanted to play softball, so when that
became an opening for me, it was like God opened a door I hoped would open all throughout my life." – Ashlie Fields
Ashlie is the daughter of Joel and Jenifer Fields and is planning to study counseling at Cornerstone. Ashlie was awarded the Best Attitude Award after her junior season.
