GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Softball returns home to the Midwest as they spent their first week of games playing down in sunny Cocoa, Florida. Cornerstone played 12 games in six days and are off to a 4-8 start with half of the losses coming by just one run, meaning they are right there in the games that they lose. With coming back to the Midwest, comes weather issues as softball is no longer in the warm sun. Last week, both double-headers for softball were canceled as they had hope to play at Olivet Nazarene and St. Francis for a pair of nonconference games. The Golden Eagles have a busy week with three double-headers all at home as they start off against nonconference opponent Indiana University South Bend. They will then host conference opponents Madonna and Cleary over the weekend with hopes that the weather allows them to be played.
