Delaney Wilson had a day tallying five hits to lead the Golden Eagles as Maddy Chatman drove in two runs to lead the way for all hitters. Cornerstone will be right back in action on Monday as they face off against Florida National at 11:30 a.m., Macomb Community College at 4:30 p.m., and Culver-Stockton at 7 p.m.

  • Cornerstone was quiet the next few innings as Ave Maria would add on another run in the fourth inning thanks to a homerun off the bat of Michi to make it a 14-2 AMU lead.
  • Jolie Groeneveld led off the fifth inning with a hit down the right field line that had the right field lay out for it but would miss as the ball rolled all the way to the wall as Groeneveld would get an inside the park homerun. Cornerstone would not be able to score anymore runs as they would lose the first game 14-3 in five innings.
