GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Athletic Director Aaron Sagraves and Cornerstone University Athletics is excited to announce Cam Harper as the new Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations and Facilities. Harper comes to Cornerstone from Aquinas College, where he most recently served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant for the Saints, while obtaining his Master's of Management with an Organizational Leadership focus.
"I am excited for Cam to join our team most importantly because of his desire to grow in his faith and to pour into the students and staff around him. He has a great understanding of relationships and communication that are essential for the position. I am eager to see him take the reins on some big initiatives that this role has under its responsibility. Harper has experience across the WHAC, NAIA, and NCAA DII levels within Grand Rapids, serving as a Building Manager for Davenport while earning his undergraduate degree in Business Sports Management prior to the forementioned two years at Aquinas. Previously to attending Davenport, Harper achieved his associate degree from Grand Rapids Community College.
The native of Lowell, Michigan is very familiar with the Grand Rapids community spending his entire life in the area involved in sports. Now that Harper has graduated with his master's, he is ready to continue his career in NAIA athletics in a full-time capacity.
Outside of work, Harper loves to golf, kayak, and travel. He also enjoys collecting sports and pop culture memorabilia and spending time with his fiancé Jailen Bernier. Harper also is very close to his family and enjoys spending time with his two dogs Blue and Duffy.
When asked about the position, Harper stated, "I am excited to join the team and hit the ground running in this new role. I know that I have a lot to offer the Cornerstone athletic department and I cannot wait to make the athletic experience at CU the best it possibly can be."
