Lima, Ohio – Baseball continued the series against UNOH after the postponement on Friday with a 19-9 loss in game two.
Michael Ruiz had three hits including a homerun while driving in four.
Nate Jackson blasted his first homerun as a Golden Eagle and drove in three. The Golden Eagles host their first home series on Friday, March 20th as they face off against Siena Heights with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
Game Recap: Cornerstone – 9 UNOH – 19
- UNOH opened the scoring in the bottom of the first hitting three home runs to take an early 4-0 lead over CU.
- The Racers added on in the second scoring six runs off five hit to increase their lead to ten.
- In the bottom of the third UNOH continued to grow their lead over the Golden Eagles scoring three more runs to lead by 13.
- Cornerstone got on the board in the fourth with a two rbi double off the bat of Michael Ruiz which was followed by a three-run blast from Nate Jackson to make it a 13-6 game.
- UNOH answered back in the bottom of the fourth bringing in six runs on seven hits to take a 19-6 lead.
- Michael Ruiz homered in the top of the fifth cutting int the Racers lead and made it 19-8.
- CU brought one more across in the seventh on a single by Corbin Westerkamp but couldn't battle back falling to UNOH.

The Golden Eagles host their first home series on Friday, March 20th as they face off against Siena Heights with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
