Balance leads women’s hoops to 71-45 victory

DEARBORN, Mich. – A 15-point lead at halftime and a 16-0 run to start the third quarter was more than enough to help Cornerstone claim their second straight win with a 71-45 victory over UM-Dearborn on Saturday. The Golden Eagles even their overall record at 5-5 as they are now 4-2 in league play. CU will return to action on Saturday, December 12 at home vs. Northwestern Ohio at 1 p.m.



Game Flow
The Golden Eagles got their road game started with a 10-0 run only to see the Wolverines crawl back into the game but CU led 19-13 after the first quarter. Cornerstone then closed out the half by scoring five of the final seven points to take a 37-22 lead into the break. 

The game was blown open to start the third quarter as CU scored the first 16 points to up their lead to 31 points and they led by 32 after three quarters. Although the Golden Eagles were outscored…in the final quarter, CU still managed to post the 26-point win.

Up Next
Cornerstone will have a week off between games as they will host Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, December 12 at 1 p.m. inside Mol Arena.
