GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone will host a pair of WHAC foes from Ohio this week. Lourdes will make a trip to Grand Rapids for a 5:00 p.m match on Wednesday before Northwestern Ohio comes to town for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Saturday.

Scouting Lourdes
Lourdes enters the week ranked one spot ahead of Cornerstone in the WHAC with a 2-5 conference record. The Gray Wolves defeated Rochester and RV Aquinas in the first two WHAC matches, but have since lost five straight. As a team, the Gray Wolves have taken 150 shots, compared to 203 taken by their opponents. Judah Goodridge leads the team with ten goals and two assists, followed by Haggi Amirally with seven goals and three assists. Jose Cedillo has a .782 save percentage over 12 games at goalie.
Scouting Northwestern Ohio
UNOH has been a WHAC powerhouse for the last several years. The Racers won the WHAC regular season and tournament titles in 2016. They finished with a 19-2-3 record after being eliminated in the third round of the national tournament. UNOH has an 8-4-1 overall, 5-2 WHAC record so far in 2017. Northwestern Ohio has taken 215 shots while their opponents have taken 111. The Racers rank #26 in the nation in total goals scored with 40. There have been 14 different goal scorers, but Pascal Debowiak leads the way with nine of them.
History vs. This Week's Opponents
Since becoming a WHAC opponent in 2015, the Golden Eagles and Gray Wolves have split the all-time series 1-1. Lourdes won 2-0 in 2015 in Grand Rapids; Cornerstone won 1-0 in 2016 in Lima, Ohio.
Cornerstone has lost five of the six meetings with Northwestern Ohio. Since Cornerstone's 1-0 victory in 2012, UNOH has won five straight, outscoring the Golden Eagles 19-2 over that stretch.
Overtime
Half of the games this season went into overtime. The Golden Eagles suffered losses to Concordia, Indiana Tech, and Marygrove. The matches against Olivet Nazarene, Madonna, and Lawrence Tech all ended in a draw.
