CU will play at Aquinas on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and host Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at 1 p.m., just needing one win to clinch a birth into the WHAC Tournament. Scouting AQ
Veteran head coach Linda Nash and the young Saints roster has been streaky as of late, losing three of their last four after winning eight of their previous nine. The Saints post a 16-12, 10-10 WHAC record for the year with their remaining games being vs. CU and at UMD. The Aquinas defense has been the difference maker this season, as they are top five in the NAIA in defensive rebounds per game (31), field goal percentage defence (34%), and three-point percentage defense (26.1%). Offensively, three AQ players average over 10 PPG, with forward Hannah Brefeld leading the way at 12.6.

Last Time vs. the Saints
Last time the Golden Eagles saw the Saints was over two months ago, as CU got the better of AQ at home winning 72-65. Cornerstone has won the last six times against Aquinas, but five of those six games have been decided by ten points or less.

Scouting UNOH
Second year head coach Mike Armbruster and the Racers currently are the outsiders looking in when it comes to post season contention, as they sit in ninth place in league play at 10-18, 8-12 WHAC. UNOH is an excellent three point shooting team, ranking second in the WHAC at 34.6% on the year. Forward Danielle VanDyne is second in the NAIA in three point percentage at 48.8% (40-82) this year. The other offensive threat for UNOH is senior Segona Sidibe who leads the team in scoring at 12.0 PPG to go along with a team best 51 steals.

Last Time vs. the Racers
CU continued their struggles in Racer Gymnasium last time out against UNOH, getting outscored 25-8 in the first quarter that resulted in an 82-66 loss. Fortunately for the Golden Eagles, CU will play host to the Racers this time as they are 6-0 all-time at home against Northwestern Ohio.

Sheridan's Road to 1,000
Jesse Sheridan has now scored 498 points on the year for the Golden Eagles, putting the sophomore just 27 points away from becoming the quickest CU player to the 1,000 point milestone. Sheridan is also just 49 points away from taking over fifth place on the Golden Eagle all-time record for points in a season, as Laura Yonkers (1999-00) currently holds that mark with 546 points in a season.

Magic Number One
Cornerstone sits in the eighth and final qualifying spot for the conference tournament at 10-10 in league play as we enter the final week of the regular season. To earn a post season spot, all CU needs to do is win one of their final two games, or receive help by having Northwestern Ohio lose one of their final two.

Sheridan CoSIDA Academic All-District
CoSIDA announced the 2016-17 Academic All-District Teams for Women's Basketball on Thursday and Jesse Sheridan earned the honor for the first time in her career. Sheridan not only leads CU in scoring, but posts a 3.78 GPA as a marketing major.

Otten Passes Milestone
Junior Lizzy Otten recorded three assists vs. UM-Dearborn and two vs. Davenport, helping her surpass the 200 career assist mark. Otten now has 203 all-time, 83 of those with Cornerstone and 120 with her former team, Madonna. Otten leads CU at 3.2 APG this season.

Close Games Slipping Away
The Golden Eagles started the season very well in games decided by 10 points or less going 5-0 through the end of December. As of late, CU has struggled in close games going 3-5 down the stretch of the season, losing three of their last four by a combined five points.
