History vs. the Gray Wolves
Cornerstone has dominated the Gray Wolves over the years, but suffered their first ever loss in program history earlier this year. Lourdes recorded a huge upset of the Golden Eagles in Sylvania, winning 78-74 for their first ever win against CU. All-time, Cornerstone is 12-1 in the series and head coach Katie Mattera is 10-1.

History vs. the Crusaders
Cornerstone and Madonna have traded victories over the years, as CU is 5-7 against MU under head coach Katie Mattera. The Golden Eagles have lost each of the last two appearances including a 75-66 loss in Livonia earlier this season. Coach Mattera does hold a 4-1 record against Madonna when playing inside Mol Arena compared to just a 1-6 record when on the road.

Scouting Lourdes
A relatively young Lourdes roster has struggled this season, posting an 8-12, 2-10 WHAC record losing five of their last six games. The Gray Wolves currently sit in 10th in the WHAC standings with a 3-5 home record and 4-7 road record. Junior Sydney Miller has started 15 of 20 games this season and leads LU with 14.7 points per game. Sophomore Latyrah Beasley leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game, while junior Christina Jefferson is the team leader in assists at 4.4 per game.

Scouting Madonna
The Crusaders have suffered a four-game conference losing streak to post a 9-12, 5-8 WHAC record. First year head coach Rachel Steinbarger has struggled with a veteran roster this season, sitting eighth in the WHAC standings after being ranked to finish fifth in the NAIA DII Conference Preseason Poll. Two time WHAC Player of the Week Becca Sabol has been the biggest bright spot for Madonna this season, averaging just shy of a double-double at 18.0 PPG and 9.9 RPG. Sabol ranks fourth in the conference in points per game and second in rebounds per game this season.

Winning Streak Record
The Golden Eagles eight game winning streak was the longest the team has posted since the 2007-08 season when they won nine straight between January 26 and February 28 under head coach Carla Fles. Eight straight wins is the longest streak ever under head coach Katie Mattera, surpassing her previous record of six consecutive wins from the 2014-15 season. Cornerstone looks to start a new streak with three straight games at home after it ended when the team fell 73-50 on the road to No. 9 Indiana Tech this past Saturday.

Career High Numbers
The Golden Eagles have seen a multitude of upperclassmen step up this season, averaging career high numbers. Currently Jesse Sheridan (18.7), Cass Vredevoogd (11.1), and Mya Udell (4.9) are averaging career highs in points per game. Vredevoogd (5.8) and Udell (2.8) are also each averaging career highs in rebounds per game this season along with teammate Taylor Richards (4.1). Senior Lizzy Otten has gotten in on the career high mix as well, averaging a career best 4.0 assists per game this season.

Continuing to Improve
With eight games remaining in the regular season, CU is already just one win away from their season total just last season. In the 2016-17 year, Cornerstone finished 14-17 overall while in 2017-18 they currently sit at a much improved 13-9. At this point last season, the Golden Eagles sat at a .500 mark at 11-11 overall.

Home Record
Cornerstone returns home for a three game stand this week where they have dominated all season, posting a 7-1 record at home. The only home loss for the Golden Eagles came in the first game of the season where receiving votes Indiana Wesleyan earned a four-point victory inside Mol Arena. CU will see Lourdes, Madonna, and Siena Heights in the upcoming home stand.
