Scouting UM-Dearborn
The Wolverines have won their last two contests as they swept Rochester and beat Concordia in four sets as they are 8-19, 5-10 WHAC. Errors have been the fatal flaw of UM-Dearborn as they rank 36
th in the NAIA with 579 attack errors and 24
th in reception errors with 187. UMD does not have one main offensive weapon, instead they have five athletes with more than 130 kills this season, as Kielee Tondryk leads the way with 166.
Scouting Rochester
Cornerstone will be playing two WHAC matches vs. Rochester back-to-back to make up for a match postponed earlier this year due to Warrior COVID-19 issues. This year, the Warriors are 9-17, 3-10 WHAC and they have lost three straight matches. Rochester similarly to UM-Dearborn struggles with unforced errors, but they also are a great defensive team, ranking 18
th in the NAIA with 18.13 digs per set.
Scouting Lawrence Tech
The Blue Devils have only played conference games this year and have gone 3-12 in those contests. After the perfect season in 2019, where LTU went undefeated in WHAC play to win the regular season and tournament title, they have been unable to regroup with their youth. Lawrence Tech is led offensively by freshman Lindsay Hubler who has 210 kills and averages 4.04 a set. Earlier this year, Cornerstone swept Lawrence Tech on the road, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.
