GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Head Coach
Jessica Yonkers is excited to announce the varsity addition of Jaxi Long to the program starting in 2022-23. Jaxi comes to CU from Newaygo High School where she was a shooting guard for the very successful program. She joins her older sister and sophomore
Jaylee Long at Cornerstone as well as they get set for the 2022-23 campaign.
In her four-year career at Newaygo, Jaxi helped her team to a State Runner-Up finish and earned All-State honors in two seasons. She was an All-Conference athlete all four years and scored 1000 career points. Jaxi has already had some time with the team as she joined them on the trip to Guatemala earlier this summer along with the other two varsity freshmen.
Jaxi is the daughter of Jason and Julie Long and she plans to major in Child Psychology during her time at Cornerstone.
Why Cornerstone?
"I chose Cornerstone for the fun atmosphere and the faith-based coaching and teaching." – Jaxi Long
