GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball is finally back in action after a two-week hiatus. The start of the season was not friendly for Cornerstone, playing three games in four days going 1-2 in those games. The Golden Eagles will start conference play against Northwestern Ohio for their conference and home opener on Saturday, November 18 tipping off at 1 p.m. with halftime activities for the students in attendance.

Season Recap
It was not a friendly start to the season for the women's basketball team as they played three games in four days and then had a two and a half week break before their next game. Cornerstone opened their season in the Cougar Classic facing off against St. Francis (Ind.) and Goshen going 1-1 in those game. St. Francis got the best of Cornerstone to open the season but responded nicely with a win over Goshen. The final game of the stretch was played at Spring Arbor were the Golden Eagles struggled to find consistent scoring in the loss.

Olivia Kubik, and
Jaxi Long are all averaging 12+ points to lead the way for the Golden Eagles.
Pure Michigan Night
Come and wear all Pure Michigan (Up North, UP, Michigan, MSU, CU, etc.) gear as women's basketball takes on a team from Ohio. There will be a halftime competition where the winners have an opportunity to win a "Hate Ohio" t-shirt to honor the rivalry between Michigan and Ohio schools.
Scouting UNOH
UNOH comes into the matchup against Cornerstone with a 3-2 record and ranked 12
th in the nation in scoring 92 points per-game while sitting in 10
th with 10 threes made per-game. The competition that UNOH has faced has not been the same caliber as the Golden Eagles, where in their victories they are averaging 110 points and, in their losses, just 64 points per-game. UNOH is led by sophomore guard Alysia Lawson who is averaging 20.2 points per-game coming off a week where she won WHAC Player of the Week averaging 22 points per-game in UNOH's two victories.
