Adrian, Mich. – Women's Basketball made a slight detour to Adrian, Mich. to take on the 5-7 Saints of Siena Heights University. The Saints then sat just above Cornerstone in the conference standings, both teams with identical WHAC records. The prior meeting between these two teams saw Siena Heights take a win inside of the Mol Arena 74-71 over the Golden Eagles.
The difference maker between the opposing sides was the 10-point lead the Saints had at the end of the first quarter. The next two quarters remained relatively even as Cornerstone hit 18 points in the second quarter and both teams put up 17 in the third. The Saints led by just nine points going into the final quarter of play, on top of Cornerstone 62-53. Siena Heights returned to a 16-point lead about halfway through the final period and seemed out of reach for the Golden Eagles. Jaxi Long put up 10 points in-a-row for Cornerstone but the Golden Eagles ultimately took the loss to the Saints 87-76 inside of the SHU Fieldhouse.
