Starters Return
The Golden Eagles bring back a load of talent from the 2021 season with all primary starters returning behind the leadership of four seniors in
Kaylee Dykema,
Olivia Keelean,
Patsy Morris, and
Rylie Walters. Senior outside hitter
Olivia Keelean nears 1000 career kills as she sits at 845 in her first three seasons, while senior libero
Patsy Morris looks to become just the seventh player in program history to record 2000 career digs as she sits 179 away. In the 2021 season, CU saw three First Team All-WHAC players and two Second Team All-WHAC players, all of those players return this season.
New Faces
Head Coach
Megan Lenhart and the Golden Eagles are excited to announce the addition of five new faces to the 2022 roster, as
Carly Bolser,
Julianna Brower,
Hannah Giere Maddi Osantowski, and
Paige Schalow. Osantowski is a former First Team All-State athlete at Reese High School, while the other three players all earned at least one All-Conference honor in high school.
NAIA Top 25
Cornerstone opens the season with a tough schedule taking on two NAIA top 25 teams to start the year and three of their first four vs. NAIA Top 25 or receiving votes programs. In 2021, Cornerstone went 3-4 against NAIA Top 25/RV teams. In Head Coach
Megan Lenhart's tenure with the team, they have gone 8-13 against ranked and receiving votes teams.
First Time
Cornerstone will take on Montana Tech and Bushnell for the first time in program history. CU has seen Jamestown twice, both coming in the 2017 NAIA National Tournament, and seen Rocky Mountain once, in Lenhart's first year as Head Coach inside Mol Arena. CU lost all three matches, two of them being in four sets, one in five.
